To begin with, be sure that the seat of your QOR360 chair is high enough; the seat of most Western chairs are only 18” above the ground, too short for most people. This forces folks to adopt an unnatural, slumped, posture in their low back rather than the naturally elegant ‘hollow back’ (lumbar lordosis) that is the spine’s preferred configuration.
Start by sitting on your QOR360 with a basic, balanced posture: feet flat on the floor shoulder width apart, sitting bones perched in the middle of the seat just above the RedRocker™. Your head should be balanced atop the spine, with the jaw bone parallel to the floor. Of course, all this will change once you do a bit of rocking, but it makes a good starting point. So, sit playfully, confident that your spine knows its business and will find your naturally perfect posture over your first few minutes of active sitting.
