Hello Stacey, you are right. Everyone is different and prefers a different seat height. I would say, play around with it and see what works best for you. The important thing is to have your knees lower than your hips when sitting, but after that its up to you. I would also recommend that you have your desk at the right height, so you aren’t hunching if the desk is too low. Your desk should be roughly at the height of your elbows when sitting.

I’m having trouble getting comfortable in the QOR360 stool/chair. Peoples’ legs are not alike. Some people have short distances from knee to ankle while having longer than usual distance from knee up to base of spine. And vice versa. How can I know that I am sitting correctly and at the correct height? Do you have a series of pictures anywhere? [Measuring the distance from foot to top of knee and then adjusting the top of seat to that height does not work for everyone . . .]

Hey Ellen, we have many customers who suffer from both of those ailments. Almost all have said our chair has been a lifesaver. The key for arthritis is movement, which our chair definitely allows you to do while sitting. Scoliosis is not well understood, it used to be thought of as a skeletal issue, and now modern thinking is its a muscular imbalance. Some preliminary testing has found that an unstable seat may aid in straightening the spine. That being said we cannot guarantee anything, as everyone is different and this is not a medical device. I would say give it a try, and if it doesn’t work for you don’t worry, you can just send it back for a full refund.

Would this chair be of help with my arthritis & scoliosis in my spine? I have multiple sections of my spine with these two things.
