Where Sitting Becomes Movement

A chair designed to support exploration, choice, and the dynamic relationship between action and posture while sitting.

WHAT IS ACTIVE SITTING?

Simply put, active sitting is the opposite of sitting still.

Many of us are deskbound, sitting motionless in an office chair for hours each day— causing back pain and sitting disease.

Active sitting helps engage and strengthen core muscles, helping prevent back pain and boosting metabolism. QOR360 active sitting chairs feature a seat top that gently moves in response to your posture, slightly adjusting to keep you comfortable and moving, all day.

FARIYA DOCTOR, GCFP

My back hurt. Then I sat differently.

As someone who helps people improve how they move and feel every day, I know that how you sit at work impacts how you feel when you’re off the clock. That’s why I focus so much on workplace ergonomics in my practice — and why this chair has become one of my most trusted recommendations.

In over two decades of practice, I have not seen a better solution to sitting.

“What is the future of chairs: sitting on moving chairs, moving on fixed chairs, sitting down and up with awareness?”

Dr. Osler brings to these questions his long experience of medicine, outcome research, statistics, and creative design. Sit Better, his “small” book on the future of sitting is a vade mecum for anyone intending to survive in a culture of chairs.
